Redstation targeted businesses requiring reliable and high-performance hosting solutions, serving clients across Europe and globally (reportedly in over 150 countries at its peak). Known for its focus on high-quality hardware, customer control systems, flexible offerings, and network expertise, the company managed thousands of servers. Its services included dedicated servers (often customizable bare metal), managed services like networking and firewall management, colocation in multiple UK locations (including London, Manchester, Maidenhead, Nottingham, Gosport), and later expanded into bare metal cloud, hybrid cloud, and GPU servers. In September 2013, Redstation was acquired by iomart Group plc, a prominent UK cloud computing and managed hosting provider, for approximately £8 million. Following the acquisition, Redstation continued to operate under its brand as part of iomart for some time, leveraging iomart's larger infrastructure and resources. However, the Redstation brand and specific website appear to have been phased out or fully integrated into iomart's other brands like RapidSwitch or iomart Hosting over time. The original administrative offices and data centers were in Gosport, though iomart's headquarters are in Glasgow.
