Profitux is a Czech web hosting brand established in 2003. It operated independently, offering services like free hosting, web hosting, and VPS multihosting, before being acquired by Stable.cz in 2017. Subsequently, in 2019, Profitux, along with its parent company Stable.cz, merged with Webglobe. The Profitux brand is now being transitioned into Webglobe, although existing Profitux customers retain their original service terms and conditions. The merger aimed to provide customers with a broader range of services and enhanced infrastructure under the Webglobe umbrella. While Profitux initially offered a variety of hosting solutions, its primary focus shifted towards a single, low-cost shared Linux hosting plan characterized by features like daily backups, free SSL certificates, and technically unlimited (guaranteed 5GB) storage and data transfer. It also provided unlimited email accounts and MySQL databases. However, it lacked features like Python support or a beginner-friendly website builder, directing VPS customers to the Stable.cz (now Webglobe) platform. As part of Webglobe, the service offerings have expanded, and customers gain access to the Webglobe Admin interface and a larger support team. The transition emphasizes continuity for existing Profitux clients while integrating them into the more robust Webglobe ecosystem, which serves over 100,000 customers in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
