HostNine was a web hosting company founded in 2006 by Ben Gabler. Originally launched as 'H9', it aimed to distinguish itself by offering innovative features like 'Reseller Central,' which allowed customers to manage reseller hosting across multiple cPanel servers in different geographic locations (US, UK, Asia), catering to SEO needs and businesses wanting localized hosting. HostNine offered a range of services including shared hosting, reseller hosting, cloud VPS hosting, and dedicated servers, often bundled with features like unlimited disk space and bandwidth, cPanel/WHM control panels, Softaculous installer, and a 45-day money-back guarantee. The company emphasized its customer support, initially available 24/7 via helpdesk, email, and live chat. HostNine grew successfully and was acquired by HostGator in 2010, although the founder returned shortly after. Later, HostNine became part of the Endurance International Group (EIG) portfolio around 2012, which itself was acquired by Clearlake Capital Group and rebranded as Newfold Digital in 2021. Currently, the HostNine brand appears to have been merged into another Newfold Digital brand, A Small Orange, with the HostNine website redirecting users to A Small Orange's customer portal.
