HorizonIQ represents the evolution of Internap (INAP) and SingleHop, integrating their strengths in IT infrastructure and networking. Internap, founded in Seattle in 1996, was known for its high-performance internet infrastructure, including colocation, hosting, cloud services, and advanced network technologies like the patented Managed Internet Route Optimizer (MIRO). Internap grew through acquisitions like CO Space (2000), VitalStream (CDN, 2007), Voxel (2012), and iWeb (2013). SingleHop, founded in 2006, was recognized for managed hosting and IaaS, featuring a proprietary automation engine and strong customer support. Internap acquired SingleHop in 2018. Following financial difficulties, including Chapter 11 filings in 2020 and 2023, and the sale of several assets (including its network business to Unitas Global, Canadian data centers to Leaseweb, and colocation sites to Evocative), INAP rebranded to HorizonIQ in January 2024.
