Azero (AzeroCloud ApS), founded in 2000, was a Danish web hosting provider specializing in various IT solutions. They offered a range of services including Linux and Windows shared hosting, VPS (Virtual Private Servers), dedicated physical servers, domain registration, and hosted Exchange email services. Azero focused on providing simple, secure, and reliable online services, adhering to ISO/IEC information security standards. Their target audience included individuals and businesses needing robust hosting solutions, particularly within Denmark, as their primary website language was Danish. Unique selling points included their long industry experience (established in 2000), offering both Linux and Windows environments, and a commitment to resilient operations and security. However, in August 2023, Azero, along with its sister company CloudNordic (both owned by Certiqa Holding), suffered a devastating ransomware attack.
